2011 Season has Arrived!

Hi! This is Sandy from Rennie Orchards. We are happy to say that it is officially cherry picking time! Our sweet and sour crops are ready to go and are looking great! We are very excited for the season, and are looking forward to seeing you all again.

We are located at 11221 Munro Rd. in Williamsburg. Our hours of operation are 9 am to 7 pm, 7 days a week. You can also now find us on Facebook, and are excited to see you there.

June Report

Hi,

Cherries are ripening early this year. The u-pick, we-pick cherry season could begin as early as June 20th. This will be the earliest we have ever started to pick. We will be open everyday from 8 am to 9pm. Prices will be the same as last year. The anticipation for the cherry season is always exciting, and  very soon we will be able to say “it’s cherry picking time”!  So come on down to the orchard, we look forward to seeing you again this year!

September Report: Apples! Pears, peaches and pumpkins! Oh my!

Hi, this is Sandy from Rennie Orchards!

It is September 23. I want to thank you folks for a wonderful cherry season, and for all your support.  We have now started our fall season! We currently have four varieties of apples ready to go, including the Honeycrisp apple.  We will have more varieties available as they ripen. 

We also have prunes, pears and peaches, as well as some squash and pumpkins. We are taking appointments for fall field trips for school and other group activities.

On weekends we have hayrides, upick apples, sunflower maze, hay maze and playhouses for the kids, bonfires, the apple wagon, and the famous teepee!

We are located 12 miles north of Traverse City, just off of US 31. There will be signs on US31/ Angell rd, and M72/Elk Lake rd to better direct you to our farm. For those of you technological folks with GPS, our address is 11221 Munro rd., Williamsburg, MI 49690. We are open 7 days a week 9am -5pm.  If you have any questions, my cell phone is (231) 313-7847. August Report

Hi, this is Sandy from Rennie Orchards. It is August 6th. It is STILL cherry picking time. We still have lots of dark-sweet and sour cherries. The dark sweets are very sweet and ripe. The sours are still beautiful, and there are a few Queen Anne and Gold cherries left. This is a late season, we may be picking past the 10th of August. So come on out! July Report: You-Pick!

Hi,

This is Sandy from Rennie Orchards. It is July 5th, and our cherry crop looks great. We have started the U-Pick dark sweet cherries and we also have some U-Pick sour cherries.So come on out, we are ready to get started!

From US 31 and M-72, follow the signs. Our hours of operation are 9 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week. We look forward to seeing you this summer. Take care!

June Report

Hi, this is Sandy from Rennie Orchards.  It is June 10th.  The sweet cherry crop is looking good.  The projected starting date for u-pick sweet cherries is July 1st, (if the weather cooperates!) and we will go to August 6th.  I will keep you informed if there any opening day changes. We will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

In case you have forgotten where we are located, we are twelve and one half miles north of Traverse City just off of US31.  Look for our signs on US31 and Angell road. US31 and  Townline road. and on M72 and Elk Lake road.  From there, just follow the signs to our farm.

October Report

   Hi, this is Sandy from Rennie Orchards.  It is now October.  Everything is coming along on time.  We are selling fifteen varieties of apples right now including the Honeycrisp apple.  We also have Prunes, Pears and Peaches. We have a good supply of Pumpkins, Squash, Gourds and Corn stalks.

We are currently open seven days a week.  We have field trips and other group activities during the week.  On

weekends we have the apple wagon, hay rides, a small hay maze, a large sunflower maze, and u-pick apples.  The signs are up and we are ready to go.  We hope to see you folks in the coming weeks!

June Report

This is Sandy – It’s June 24th and the cherry crop is looking excellent. We are getting close to harvest and normally start the u-pick season July 1st, but with the cooler spring, I’m expecting a later start around July 4th.

Our hours of operation are 9AM to 8PM and we will be open every day through July and will end around August 6th. We are excited to get started. Hope to see you soon!

Spring Report

 Hi, this is Sandy from Rennie Orchards.

It is May and the sweet cherries are in full bloom. Sour cherries later in the month. Everything is looking great, this is a very beautiful time of the year.

 

For last year’s first timmers, Rennie Orchards is the U-pick we pick cherry and apple Orchard that is located 12 miles north of Traverse City Michigan.

 I want to thank all you folks for stopping out last year. Your support has made the 2007 season the best ever. Thanks again.

Our new hours are from 9 am-8 pm and we are open every day. We hope to start the cheery season July 1st and finish around August 6th.

 We are excited and ready to start the harvest. Hope to see you in July.
